Excellent high quality hotel. Service and staff first class. Large self contained chalets. Very large clean central pool Only downside I found is that the beach is not suitable for swimming and if you want to go into town it s a 15 min, 400 baht trip. Well recommended if you want to get away from it all

Stay away! Expensive, but no quality at all. Private pools full of dirt and bacteria, public facilities in a bad estate, and they are having a working site in the restaurant an besides the pool, which they fail to publish...so u r trapped. We left early after one horrible night. Ac is blowing directly onto the bed... freeze or be steamed. For that one night, they charged 50% more then it was said instead of excusing for the desolate estate of everything... lots of trainees in duty... [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

X2 Resort Samui was on the whole, a very enjoyable & friendly place to stay. I was there for 9 days and also booked my sister & her husband in for 11 days. During the period of my stay I experienced 3 different rooms (villas). The Pool villas are definitely a far better option, not just because of the pool, but they are easier to get around in. Initially, I had Villa 20, a Garden villa. While clean and sort of ok, it was its very strange & pointless design that I felt uncomfortable with and its different levels. In my opinion, it has quite dangerous steps both inside and in the garden. I was particularly concerned as this was my first holiday outing since having had major ankle surgery 8 weeks previous, and I felt worried when moving around in this room. I chose X2 because I wanted a quiet place with good facilities and near the beach. Apart from concerns with this first room (villa), all other expectations were delightfully met. After one night in villa 20 I requested an upgrade to a pool villa, stating I was happy to pay for the upgrade. The staff went out of their way to accommodate my request and were indeed, very good about it. They found me an upgrade for 4 nights to pool villa 7, which was great and I felt much safer getting around inside. For my final 3 nights, all pool villas had been previously booked, so the staff put me back into a much better Garden villa, No. 18. I thank the staff for their concern in this regard. However, one other issue with these Garden villas I do have, is while the beds are very comfortable & large, why are they sunken into what appear to be useless platforms. The beds are very good, but getting in and out of them is not! The pool villas seem to mostly have normal arrangements for their large & comfortable beds as stand alone units in the room. Another potential concern in the all villas are the marble floors, which can be deadly slippery when wet. In some countries, this type of flooring is considered to be a real safety Issue. Anyway, apart from that, and if approached with care, the pool villas are very comfortable, and with their own private pool in the garden, are a worthwhile, (and recommended) accommodation option when staying at X2 Resort Samui. On a more positive note though, the hotel s staff are all friendly and provide excellent and efficient service, in particular, the restaurant staff. All meals we took in the restaurant were of a high quality, and reasonably priced for a hotel of this standard. Additionally, at he hotel s spa I had one of the best Thai massages I d ever had. The spa staff were also very friendly and helpful in understanding my condition from my recent surgery. Genuine care and concern for my situation was taken, which I very much appreciated, and the Thai massages were a great benefit, and performed by a therapist who clearly knew what she was doing. This, I would highly recommend! The hotel is in a very pleasant location and the friendliness of its service and front line staff clearly made it a most enjoyable place to stay. I would definitely choose to stay there again, and would highly recommend it, but I d be booking a pool villa next time. They are, in my opinion, more user-friendly than the Garden villas. The resort only has 4 Garden villas, and I stayed in 2 of them during my stay. If a Garden villa is what you want, then avoid Villa 20, but go for Villa 18 instead. Finally, the friendliness of the staff do make X2 Resort Samui a very enjoyable place to stay, and I would certainly book there again... [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Excellent hotel and very friendly staff who are helpful and respectful of privacy. Lovely location for those not looking for a lively night life. Great beach, pool and breakfast

Beautiful retreat, especially the private pool villas are unbelievable. It is in the middle of no where, which we knew in advance. So it was the perfect place to relax. What is not acceptable is the service combined with their pricing. They are trying to be a high class resort with a high class restaurant, but couldn t even manage to arrange a surprise a surprise dinner on time at our pool villa, the night I wanted to propose to my girlfriend. That pretty much destroyed the whole night. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Отель - сказка! Отличный дизайн! Виллы супер! С большим чистым бассейном и водопадом! Очень всё красиво обставлено! Ресторан дороговат, но кормят очень вкусно! Завтраки просто МЕГА!!! Единственный минус - отсутствие пляжа, причём полное! Туда из отеля стекают сточные воды, и вообще там на километр вода по щиколотку - какя-то устроенная заводь для рыбаков, всё в иле и тине, буйволы ходят. до других пляжей далеко и дорого. Но всё компенсируется большим и очень грубоким бассейном на территории))) Для романтиков и молодоженов - в самый раз!!!! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

Excellent place for a specific niche of travelers who seek privacy, peaceful and not crowded beach. Original hotel concept. More care should also given to the beach area for those (like me)who just like to enjoy the sun and the sea. I will be back
